I like the explanation of the techniques but when he talks about how x and y affect scoring in fencing, I’m reminded of how poncy it is. Why can’t you step off the line? Because dems da rules. Silly rules.

Seems to be they are just flicking each other with wire. They couldn’t make those moves with real swords, they couldn’t “whip” them around guards, and they are always both dying.

Rapier Fighting which makes sense when you and your opponent both have rapiers and which makes alot more sense if you have a parrying dagger to pair with the sword.
